Water supply. Where available, in the discretion of the Land Development Board in order to promote the public health, safety and welfare in potable water and safe water supply, all developments approved after the effective date of this chapter shall use public water in lieu of individual wells. If individual wells are used, they shall be a minimum of 100 feet in depth (unless the well penetrates an impermeable clay aquiclude, in which case the well shall be drilled and cased to at least 50 feet) and designed and installed in accordance with the standards of the Township, County or State agency having jurisdiction.
