Variances. Departures from the literal zoning requirements of this chapter may be granted by the Land Development Board in accordance with the applicable provisions specified in § 12-10.

Waivers. The Land Development Board when acting upon applications for subdivision and/or site plan approval, shall have the power to grant such exceptions from the requirements of this chapter for such approval, as may be reasonable and within the general purpose and intent of the applicable provisions, if the literal enforcement of one or more of the provisions is impracticable or will exact undue hardship because of peculiar conditions pertaining to the land in question.

Pinelands compliance. Notwithstanding the aforementioned jurisdictional exceptions, no such exception shall apply to Pinelands application requirements or development standards nor shall it affect the Township's compliance with the Pinelands Comprehensive Management Plan.
