ARTICLE II

ESTABLISHMENT OF DISTRICTS

2.1 - Type of Districts.

For the purpose of the ordinance the area of Springfield, Georgia, is hereby divided into the following zoning districts.

2.1.1 General Districts.

"R-1" Detached Single-Family Residential District
"R-2" Residential District (Duplex & Townhome)
"R-3" Multi-Family Residential District
"R-4" High Density Residential
"AR" Agricultural Residential District
"B-1" General Commercial District
Reserved
"DT" Downtown District
"RO" Residential Office
"PUD" Planned Unit Development District
I-1 Industrial District

2.2 - Zoning Map.

The boundaries of these zoning districts are hereby established on a map to be designated "Zoning Map" for Springfield, Georgia, which is hereby made a part of this ordinance, together with all existing and future notations, references and amendments. The originals of said "Zoning Map" properly attested, shall be and remain on file in the offices of the City Hall. In the event of a conflict the text controls.

2.3 - District Boundary Lines.

The district boundary lines on the zoning maps are intended to follow property lines or the centers of streets, alleys, railroads or watercourses. In the case of unsubdivided property, the district boundary lines shall be determined using the appropriate scale.
