11-6-1: PURPOSE AND INTENT/SPECIAL PUD PROVISIONS:
The purpose of the A-1, Agricultural District is to:
A. Establish a zoning district in which agriculture and related land uses are encouraged as the principal and primary use of the land.
B. Preserve those soils that are prime and important farmlands, and currently used for growing crops.
C. Maintain open lands that provide visual relief from nearby urbanized areas.
D. Minimize potential negative effects of agricultural uses and operations on surrounding nonagricultural properties by establishing standards that regulate the type, intensity and location of such uses.
E. In accordance with section 11-11-3 of this title, all residential subdivisions consisting of three (3) acres or more (and in certain other circumstances delineated therein) shall be processed as a residential planned unit development. 11-6-2: USES:

11-6-3: LOT REQUIREMENTS:
A. Minimum Lot Size:
1. Permitted Use: A separate ground area not less than forty (40) acres shall be required for each permitted use in this district.
2. Special Use: Minimum lot size shall be determined by the Village as part of the special use process.
B. Minimum Lot Width: A minimum lot width not less than two hundred fifty feet (250') shall be required. (Ord. 2002-01-15B, 1-15-2002)
11-6-4: BUILDING SETBACK:
A. Minimum Front And Corner Side Yards: Not less than fifty feet (50') from a front and corner side lot line.
B. Minimum Interior Side Yards: Not less than fifty feet (50') from an interior side lot line.
C. Minimum Rear Yards: Not less than fifty feet (50') from a rear lot line.
D. Primary Roads: Not less than seventy five feet (75') from the right-of-way of a roadway designated as primary by the Village.
E. Parking And Roads: No parking or roads shall be allowed in the required front, corner side, interior side or rear yards.
F. Special Provision: Notwithstanding the above, no animals or poultry shall be housed, stabled, kenneled or yarded closer than one hundred feet (100') from any residence other than that of the owner or user of the property. (Ord. 2002-01-15B, 1-15-2002; amd. Ord. 2018-03-20C, 3-20-2018)
11-6-5: HEIGHT LIMITATIONS:
A. Single-family, detached dwellings: Not more than thirty five feet (35').
