An ordinance to regulate by districts or zones the location, height and bulk of buildings and other structures; the percentage of lot which may be occupied, the size of courts, lots and other open space; the density and distribution of residential, commercial, recreational or other users and purposes; and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith.

This title shall be known as the ZONING ORDINANCE OF THAYNE, WYOMING, and may be so cited and pleaded.

This title is adopted pursuant to authority conferred by Wyoming Statutes section 15-1-601 et seq.

This title is designed and enacted for the purpose of promoting the health, safety, morals, convenience, order, prosperity and welfare of the present and future inhabitants of Thayne, Wyoming, including among other things the lessening of congestion in the streets or roads, securing safety from fire and other dangers, providing adequate light and air, classification of land and distribution of land development and utilization, protection of the tax base, securing economic growth, and the protection of both residential and nonresidential development.

In interpreting and applying the provisions of this title, the requirements contained herein are declared to be the minimum requirements for the purposes set forth.

This title shall not nullify the more restrictive provisions of covenants, agreements, other ordinances or laws. If there are more restrictive provisions, they shall apply.
