CHAPTER 17

16 - AMENDMENTS

17.16.010 - Procedure.

Any proposed amendment, supplement, change or modification shall first be submitted to the city planning commission for its recommendation and report. The planning commission shall hold a public hearing on that report. Notice of such hearing shall be in accordance with Section 211.007 of Texas Local Government Code Title 7.

17.16.020 - Twenty percent rule.

If the city planning commission recommends against, or if a protest against such proposed amendment, supplement, change or modification shall be presented to the city manager, duly signed and acknowledged by the owners of twenty (20) percent or more, either of the area of lots or of the lots or land immediately adjoining the same and extending two hundred (200) feet therefrom, such amendment, supplement, change or modification shall not become effective except by the favorable vote of three-fourths of all the members of the city council.

17.16.030 - Fees.

An application for a zoning amendment must be accompanied by a fee of two hundred dollars ($200.00).

17.16.040 - Zoning change fee.

An application for a zoning change must be accompanied by a fee of two hundred dollars ($200.00) and the said two hundred dollars ($200.00) shall be paid to the city of Uvalde, Texas.
