In case any building or structure is erected, constructed, reconstructed, altered, repaired, converted or maintained, or any building, structure or land use in violation of this chapter or prior laws, the Township Board of Supervisors, or an officer of the Township, with the approval of the Board of Supervisors, in addition to other remedies, may institute in the name of the Township any appropriate action or proceedings to prevent, restrain, correct or abate such violation, structure or land, or to prevent, in or about such premises any act, conduct, or use constituting a violation.
