Sec. 12-1.- Enforcement.

It shall be the duty of the planning director or his designee to administer this ordinance, to enforce the provisions of this ordinance and to institute any appropriate action or proceedings to restrain, correct or prevent the violation of the terms of this ordinance. Appeals from the action of the enforcement officer may be made to the board of adjustment as provided in chapter 3.

Sec. 12-2. - Civil remedies.

The City of Alice or any proper person may institute any appropriate actions or proceedings to prevent such unlawful erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, conversion, maintenance or use, to restrain, correct or abate such violation, to prevent the occupancy of said building, structure or land or to prevent any illegal act, conduct, business or use in, about, or about such premises including but not limited to all remedies provided in V.T.C.A., Local Government Code § 211.012. The imposition of any penalty hereunder shall not preclude the municipality or any proper person from instituting any appropriate action or proceedings to require compliance with the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance and with administrative orders and determination made hereunder.
