AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER _____ OF THE CITY OF BRIDGE CITY, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING NEW AND REVISED SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS FOR LANDS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BRIDGE CITY, TEXAS AND THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE CITY ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS AND PENALTIES RELATING THERETO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BRIDGE CITY, TEXAS AS FOLLOWS:
An ordinance for the City of Bridge City, Texas, as authorized by V.T.C.A., Local Government Code ch. 212 et seq., as amended.
INTENT AND PURPOSE
The zoning regulations and districts as herein established have been made in accordance with a comprehensive plan for the purpose of promoting health, safety, morals, and the general welfare of the City of Bridge City. They have been designed to lessen congestion in the streets, to secure safety from fire and panic, and other dangers, to provide adequate light and air, to prevent overcrowding of land, to avoid undue concentration of population, and to facilitate access to parks and public facilities. They have been made with reasonable consideration, among other things, for the character of the city and to promote the safe, orderly, and healthful development of the city.
