CHAPTER 17

07.2 - PROL Parks, Recreation and Open Lands District

17-07.2-010 - Intent.

The PROL Parks, Recreation and Open Lands district is intended to provide areas for active or passive recreation for the public.

17-07.2-020 - Permitted uses; by right.

The following uses are permitted by right in the PROL district:

(A)

Uses permitted in the OS district (chapter 17-07.1 of the BMC);

(B)

Recreation centers, Community Center, Field House, Swimming Pools, Leisure Pools;

(C)

Outdoor recreational facilities including but not limited to pump tracks, singletrack, tennis courts and other similar recreational facilities;

(D)

Solar panels as an accessory to a principal structure;

(E)

Golf courses;

(F)

Public art installations that are compatible with natural resources;

(G)

Playground equipment such as slides, swing sets, jungle gyms;

(H)

Community gardens, excluding solar gardens.

17-07.2-030 - Permitted uses; by special review.

The following uses are permitted by special review in the PROL district:

(A)

Wireless communication towers; and

(B)

Amphitheaters.

17-07.2-040 - Lot and yard requirements.

The following are minimum lot and yard requirements in the PROL district:

Side, rear or front yard setback to buildings and structures adjacent to residential 30 feet + 1 foot for each 2 feet of building height in the PROL district measured from residential property line

17-07.2-050 - Building height.

Buildings in the PROL district shall not be higher than three stories, and in no case higher than fifty feet.

17-07.2-060 - General provisions.

Use of land in the PROL district shall also conform to the parking, signing, and other provisions of this title.
