This title shall be known and may be cited as the ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF GERMANTOWN HILLS, ILLINOIS. (Ord. 158, 6-15-1978)
9-1-2: SCOPE:
It is not intended by this title to repeal, abrogate, annul, or in any way impair or interfere with existing provisions of other laws, ordinances, or resolutions, except those specifically repealed by this title or amendments hereto, or with private restrictions placed upon property by covenant, deed, or other private agreement, or with restrictive covenants running with the land to which the village is a party. Where this title imposes a greater restriction upon land, buildings, or structures than is imposed or required by such existing provisions of law, ordinance, resolution, contract, or deed, the provisions of this title shall control. 9-1-3: VALIDITY:
The invalidity of any provision of this title shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this title. If any court of competent jurisdiction shall declare invalid the application of any provision of this title to a particular property, structure, or land, such ruling shall not affect the application of said provision to any other property, structure, or land not specifically included in said ruling.
