- ANNEXATIONS AND EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION
(a)
Annexations shall be compliant with all regulations and notices from V.T.C.A., Local Government Code, Chapter 43.
(b)
Zoning for newly annexed areas of the city shall follow section 52-307 for classification of zoning district and allowable uses.

Authority of extraterritorial jurisdiction of the city is derived from V.T.C.A., Local Government Code, Chapter 42.
(b)
Land located in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the city is subject to the terms and standards of article V, subdivision regulations.
(c)
Land, any portion of which is located within 500 feet of the corporate boundaries of the city and within the city's official extraterritorial jurisdiction, shall not be platted until such time as a petition for annexation has been submitted by the owner of record.
