(a)

This chapter, as amended from time to time, together with the official zoning map (as adopted by section 23-3), as amended from time to time, may be cited as the town's zoning regulations or zoning ordinance.

(b)

The purpose of this chapter is to promote the public health, safety and welfare.

(c)

Whenever there is any conflict between these regulations and any other ordinance, regulation or law, the more restrictive or higher standard shall apply.

(d)

These regulations and the official zoning map shall constitute a part of the town's comprehensive master plan.
