Enforcement and administration.
(a)
The building official shall be responsible for the interpretation, administration and enforcement of the provisions of these regulations, as amended, the official zoning map, as amended, and of any decisions entered by the planning commission, board of adjustment or board of trustees, pursuant to this chapter.
(b)
No building permit, occupancy permit, or other permit or license shall be issued, nor shall any other action of approval be taken or allowed by the town for any property which is not in compliance with the provisions of this chapter, and any decision issued pursuant hereto.
(c)
The town may maintain an action in a court of competent jurisdiction to enjoin any violation of this chapter or of the terms of any decision entered pursuant to this chapter.
(d)
Any action which reduces the area of any site, lot or tract in violation of the minimum dimensional requirements of these regulations shall be unlawful.
(e)
It shall be unlawful to violate any of the provisions of this chapter, or the terms of any decision entered pursuant to this chapter. Any person convicted of such a violation may be punished in accordance with section 1-14.
(f)
Any property or building maintained in violation of these regulations is hereby declared to be a nuisance which may be abated by the town in any lawful manner.
