The purpose of this overlay zone is to create an additional realistic area of flood-prone properties which will allow certain construction necessary to alleviate damage and assist in limiting the impact on flooding on residential buildings located within these areas without changing the basic characterization of the neighborhoods.

This overlay zone includes all properties as identified and contained within the special flood hazard area as shown on the most current FEMA FIRM maps.
