Sec. 24-42. - Classification of new and unscheduled uses.
(a)
It is recognized that new or unscheduled types of land use may seek to locate in the city. In order to provide for such contingencies, a determination of any new or unscheduled form of land use shall be made in accordance with this section.
(b)
New or unscheduled land uses as determined by the city manager or his/her designee shall require a special use permit as indicated on the schedule of uses chart.
(c)
If a SUP is granted for a new or unscheduled use, at the earliest convenient opportunity, the city manager or his/her designee should initiate a zoning text amendment to incorporate the new or unscheduled use. The procedure for an amendment to the schedule of uses chart shall be the same as required for an amendment to the zoning text.
