Manchester City Zoning Code

As provided in applicable sections of the Land Use Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland, any person, firm or corporation violating any provisions of this chapter shall be fined not more than $250 for the first violation and $500 for each subsequent violation. Each and every day during which such illegal location, erection, construction, reconstruction, enlargement, change, maintenance or use continues may be deemed a separate offense. A violation occurring within six months of any same or similar violation shall be considered a subsequent violation.

In addition to other remedies, the Mayor and Council of the Town of Manchester, the Zoning Administrator or any adjacent or neighboring property owner may institute injunction, mandamus, abatement or other appropriate action or proceedings to compel compliance with the provisions of this chapter.
