The purpose of the industrial/manufacturing zone is to provide areas where industries necessary and beneficial to the local economy may locate and operate. The regulations of the zone are designed to protect and preserve the environment of the zone, adjacent areas, and the entire county.
Permitted uses in the industrial/manufacturing zone are as follows:
All businesses locating in the I-1 manufacturing zone must abide by the following requirements:
1. Waste and refuse collection or depositing areas must be enclosed within adequate containers and screened from view.
2. Adequate facilities must be provided to contain runoff of liquids or waste and to properly manage the drainage or disposal of oil, grease and other hazardous materials.
3. Noise, vibration, odors, glare, smoke, dust and similar hazards and nuisances may not be allowed to be emitted form the site OR impact any residential district or use. Adequate facilities to screen, reduce, and mitigate all off-site impact of such hazards and nuisances shall be provided. On-site impacts shall be contained to safe and reasonable levels as established by city, county, state, and federal law or regulation.

2. Compounding
3. Processing
4. Assembling
5. Storage of materials for wholesale and retail sale
6. Warehousing and storage
7. Construction equipment yard
8. Utility substation
9. All commercial uses allowed in the commercial district
10. Agriculture and related activities
11. Residential uses allowed in the R-1 residential district must comply with the R-1 zone land use requirements

11. Travel trailer parks and campgrounds - Subject to the provisions and requirements outlined in the Travel Trailer Parks and Campgrounds Ordinance.
12. Sexually oriented business - Subject to the provisions and requirements outlined in the Sexually Oriented Business Ordinance.
13. Signs advertising off-premises business - Subject to the provisions and requirements outlined in the Signs and Advertising ordinance.
14. All commercial uses allowed in the commercial district.

13. Signs advertising off-premises business - Subject to the provisions and requirements outlined in the Signs and Advertising ordinance.
