[Ord. No. 664; Ord. No. 745; Ord. No. 2020-1244, 9-14-2020]
No fence or wall hereafter erected, constructed in excess of six feet in height are prohibited to be constructed, and shall not be greater in height than 6 1/2 feet, measured from finished grade elevation along the length of such fence or wall, with the finished side of fence or wall facing the adjacent property, however fences in excess of six feet may be permitted if approval is granted by the Borough of Manville Joint Land Use Board and a construction permit is applied for and approved. In the event a property is situated between two abutting residential properties which do not meet the current setback requirement for side properties and would create a potential safety issue, i.e., egress, then a four-foot fence will be the only permitted fence to be erected or constructed on that property. Fences made from used or discarded materials, barbed wire, metal spikes or other such dangerous material which is not usually associated with fences, such as, but not limited to, doors, old lumber and the like are specifically prohibited.
