- THE PLANNING COMMISSION
1.
A planning commission is hereby created. The Commission shall be appointed by the board of aldermen for a term of office concurrent with the term of office of the appointing board. Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term of any member.
2.
The Planning Commission shall adopt rules for the conduct of its business, establishment of a quorum and procedures, and keep minutes of all findings and decisions. Meetings of the Commission shall be at the call of the chairman and at such other times as the Commission shall determine. Each session of the Planning Commission shall be a public meeting.
3.
The Planning Commission shall have the following powers and duties:
a.
Study and report on all proposed amendments to the Olive Branch Zoning Code, Design Review Ordinance, and Subdivision Regulations.
b.
Review and make recommendations to the mayor and board of aldermen on all applications to amend the Official Zoning Map.
c.
Review and make recommendations to the mayor and board of aldermen on all applications for new planned developments and amendments to existing planned developments in any planned district (R-3, C-4, PID, and PUD).
d.
Review and make recommendations to the mayor and board of aldermen on all applications for subdivision plat approvals in accordance with the Subdivision Regulations.
e.
Issue plat extensions in accordance with the city's Subdivision Regulations.
