§ 154.265 PARKING SPACES.

   The area required for parking one automobile, in this chapter, is held to be an area ten feet wide and 20 feet long, not including drive or passageways.

§ 154.266 OFF-STREET LOADING REQUIREMENTS.

   In all districts, adequate loading areas shall be provided so that all vehicles loading, maneuvering, or unloading are completely off the public ways.

§ 154.267 HANDICAPPED PARKING REQUIREMENTS.

   Parking requirements of the American Disabilities Act of 1990, being 42 U.S.C. §§ 12101 et seq., shall be met.

§ 154.268 INGRESS AND EGRESS OF SERVICE VEHICLES AND AUTOMOBILES.

   All loading and parking areas shall be so constructed and designed that all vehicles using such areas shall, with ease of movement and ample space for maneuvering, enter, and exit from the areas in a forward movement.

§ 154.269 INDUSTRIAL ZONING DISTRICT.

   There shall be one parking space for each 300 square feet of floor space for light-industry uses, and one parking space for each 1,000 square feet of floor space for heavy-industry uses.

§ 154.270 PARKING REQUIREMENTS OFF-STREET.

   (A)   In all districts, and in connection with every use or building erected, enlarged, extended, or increased, there shall be off-street parking provided for vehicles.
   (B)   Parking areas for uses not specified in the table below will provide one space for every 200 square feet of store space for stores having a floor space of less than 5,000 square feet.
   (C)   For stores having a floor space of 5,000 square feet or more, there shall be 25 parking spaces, plus one space for every additional 150 square feet of floor space.
   (D)   Design standards for layout of parking lots shall conform to village design standards pertaining to parking lots and the like.

§ 154.271 SETBACKS.

   (A)   Parking may not occupy the initial 25 feet of any yard adjoining a road or street right-of-way, but may occupy the initial 25 feet of any yard not adjoining the road or street right-of way.
   (B)   Landscaping shall be maintained as a visual and audible buffer to all surrounding residential districts.
   (C)   Adequate access to a public street shall be provided for each parking and loading area.
      (1)   All off-street parking areas and loading areas shall be graded and surfaced so as to be dust- free and properly drained.
      (2)   Parking areas for more than ten vehicles shall have the aisles and spaces clearly marked.
      (3)   All loading and parking areas shall be so designed and constructed that all vehicles using those areas shall, with ease of movement and ample space for maneuvering, enter, and exit from those areas in a forward movement.
      (4)   All site plans for construction of loading and parking areas shall be reviewed and approved by the Planning Commission. Planning Commission review shall include, but not be limited to, such considerations as: fire-safety, ingress and egress, internal traffic circulation, location and design of parking and loading, landscaping, sign location and designs, and other proposed improvements such as lighting and drainage. The applicant shall submit adequate plans to allow detailed review of each of the above elements.
