Downtown Commercial CD District
§ 173-10 Intended purpose.

The purpose of the Downtown Commercial CD District is to designate an area for retail commercial activity to serve the needs of the residents of the Borough. Whenever possible, the property owners should locate retail and service businesses on the street level with offices and other permitted uses on the upper levels of the building.
§ 173-11 Permitted uses.
A.
Permitted uses in the Downtown Commercial CD District are as follows:
(1)
Art supplies; frames.
(2)
Appliance sales and repairs.
(3)
Banks and other financial institutions.
(4)
Barbershops and beauty parlors.
(5)
Book and stationery stores.
(6)
Clubs and lodges.
(7)
Cigar stores.
(8)
Department stores and specialty shops.
(9)
Drug stores.
(10)
Dry goods and variety stores.
(11)
Dry-cleaning and clothes-pressing establishments, provided that nonflammable cleaning agents are used.

Eating and drinking places.
(13)
Footwear Stores.

§ 173-12 Permitted accessory uses.

The following special exceptions may be permitted by the Zoning Hearing Board, following review and comment by the Planning Commission, pursuant to standards and criteria as set forth in Articles XIV and XX herein:

Unless otherwise specified herein, lot area, lot width and impervious coverage requirements of the following dimensions shall be provided for each structure or use hereafter erected, established or altered for any use permitted within this district:

The following setback regulations apply to all uses permitted within this district unless otherwise specified herein.
