(a)

Repeal of conflicting. This zoning code hereby repeals and recreates Chapter 118 "Zoning" of the City of South Beloit, Illinois Municipal Code

(b)

Public hearings. The City of South Beloit Zoning PZC concluded a public hearing on this zoning code and official zoning map pursuant to the requirements of the Illinois Statutes on February 16, 2023.

(c)

PZC recommendation. The PZC recommended to the city council the adoption of this zoning code text and official zoning map at its meeting held on February 16, 2023.

(d)

City council approval. The City Council of the City of South Beloit concurred with the recommendations of the PZC and proceeded to adopt the zoning code and map at its meeting on May 6, 2024.

(e)

Effective date. This zoning code shall take effect upon passage and adoption by the city council and the filing of proof of posting or publication in the office of the city clerk.
