Districts and Maps

§ 260-8 Enumeration of districts.

[Amended at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I)]
The Village of Walton is hereby divided into six classes of districts, which shall be known as:
Residential Recreational (R-R).
Single-Family Residential (R-S).
Multiple-Family Residential (R-M).
General Business (B-G).
Mixed Use District (M-U).
General Industry (I-G).

§ 260-9 Boundaries; Zoning Map.

The location and boundaries of the previously mentioned districts are hereby established by the designations, location and boundaries thereof as set forth and indicated on the map entitled "Zoning Map for the Village of Walton, New York."[1] Where uncertainty exists as to any of said boundaries as shown on said Map, the following rules shall apply:
Boundary on street, railroad right-of-way, stream, lot or property line. Where the designation on said map indicates a district boundary line approximately on a street, railroad right-of-way, stream, lot, or property line on plots of record at the time of passage of this Zoning chapter shall be construed to be the boundary of the district.
Any aggrieved person(s) may request an interpretation of the Zoning Map and boundaries from the Zoning Board of Appeals.
