The purpose of the open space zone is to minimize flooding, erosion and other environmental hazards; to protect the natural scenic character of areas not suitable for development; to promote the well being of present and future residents of the city; and to ensure the efficient expenditure of public funds. 9-6-2: USE REGULATIONS:
In the open space zone, no property shall be used and no building shall be erected or altered so as to be arranged, intended or designed to be used for other than one or more of the following uses:
Airport.
Cemetery.
Emergency equipment routes to provide essential emergency services, such as fire control.
Livestock grazing, including incidental corrals, barns or pens.
Public or private recreation facilities which will not significantly alter the natural form of the landscape.
Public utilities and transmission lines.
Raising of crops, horticulture and gardening. (Ord. 2004-18, 6-9-2004)
9-6-3: SITE DESIGN REGULATIONS:
All site design elements are subject to conditional use review and recommendation by the planning commission and approval of the city council as outlined in chapter 17 of this title. (Ord. 2004-18, 6-9-2004)
9-6-4: HEIGHT REGULATIONS:
No building shall exceed thirty five feet (35') or two and one-half (21/2) stories in height, unless otherwise approved with a conditional use permit. (Ord. 2004-18, 6-9-2004)
