- B-2 HIGHWAY BUSINESS DISTRICT
Within all B-2 Highway Business Districts, as shown on the Official Zoning Map, the following regulations shall apply:
[The following uses shall be allowed in the B-2 Highway Business District:]
1.
Any use permitted in B-1 Local Shopping District.
2.
Animal hospitals.
3.
Auto sales rooms.
4.
Auto washing establishments.
5.
Bowling alleys.
6.
Building material storage buildings and yards.
7.
Bus depots.
8.
Bus garages or car barns.
9.
Business schools.
10.
Dairies.
11.
Drive-in theaters.
12.
Nurseries.
13.
Frozen food lockers.
14.
Funeral homes.
15.
Hotels.
16.
Laundries and dry cleaners.
17.
Machinery and equipment sales and service.
18.
Motels and trailer courts.
19.
Night clubs.
20.
Plumbing shops.
21.
Pool halls.
22.
Printing shops.
23.
Used car lots.
24.
Wholesale offices and warehouses.
25.
Other uses may be permitted, provided they are not in conflict with any other ordinance, and, provided further that such uses are approved by the governing body and subject to such safeguards as this body may establish.
No building or structure shall exceed fifty (50) feet in height.
Lot area per family. Dwellings hereafter constructed in a B-2 Highway Business District must comply with the area and yard regulation of the R-3 Residence District.
Yards. Buildings other than residential hereafter constructed within a B-2 Highway Business District shall be located so as to comply with the following yard requirements:
Front yard: Twenty-five (25) feet.
Rear yard: Fifteen (15) feet.
Side yard: Side yards of five (5) feet are required only when the side of a commercial lot abuts a residential district or when required by the building code. Where side yards are provided but not required, these yards shall not be less than three (3) feet.
