A.   Existing Uses: A nonconforming use may be continued on the same land lot or land parcel, as well as within the same floor area, which existed on the date when the use initially became nonconforming.

   B.   Enlargement Or Extension: The area occupied by a nonconforming use within an existing structure or on a lot or parcel of land may not be enlarged or extended except as provided in section 11-4-1 of this title.

   C.   Discontinued: If active and continuous operation of a nonconforming use is discontinued for a period of twelve (12) consecutive months, the structure or tract of land shall subsequently be used only for a conforming use. A stated intent to resume operations shall not affect this provision. (Ord. 2001-05, 6-11-2001)
