Buildings and premises may be used for any of the purposes included in chapters 4 through 8 of this title and subject to the restrictions therein or for the following and other similar heavy industrial uses:

   Acid manufacture.

   Alcohol manufacture.

   Ammonia, chlorine, bleaching powder manufacture.

   Asphalt manufacturing or refining.

   Auto wrecking.

   Bag cleaning.

   Blast furnace.

   Boiler works.

   Breweries.

   Brick, tile or terra cotta manufacture.

   Cement, lime or gypsum or plaster of Paris manufacture.

   Disinfectants manufacture.

   Distilleries.

   Dyestuff manufacture.

   Fertilizer manufacture.

   Food manufacturing plants.

   Forge plants.

   Gas manufacture and storage.

   Glue, size or gelatine manufacture.

   Iron, steel, brass or copper foundry or fabrication plants.

   Junk, iron or rag storage or baling.

   Oiled rubber goods manufacture.

   Paint, oil, shellac, turpentine or varnish manufacture.

   Paper or pulp manufacture.

   Planing mills.

   Rock crusher.

   Rolling mills.

   Rubber or guttapercha manufacture or treatment.

   Shoe polish manufacture.

   Smelting of tin, copper, zinc or iron ores.

   Tar distillation or waterproofing manufacture. (Ord. 9/97, 12-15-1997)

   (A)   The following uses are declared to be special uses and require special use approval as provided for in this code. Special uses provided for in other zoning districts are not permitted in this district unless otherwise listed in this subsection.
