Buildings and premises shall be used only for the following and other similar purposes:
Carnivals and circuses, provided that half the tract upon which said carnival or circus is located or two (2) acres whichever is greater shall be provided for customer parking with gravel, crushed rock or other improved access roads. Such carnivals and circuses shall not operate more than fifteen (15) consecutive days and they shall be located not closer than one thousand feet (1,000') to any dwelling except that of the owner or lessor of the site.
Churches and convents.
Dwellings (single-family).
Fire stations.
Hospitals, sanatoriums, clinics, but not animal hospitals.
Lakes.
Landfilling with nonodorous and noncombustible materials.
Libraries and museums.
Parks.
Police stations.
Professional and home occupations engaged in by the occupants of a dwelling and not involving the conduct of a retail business, and providing that not more than one sign with a maximum area of two (2) square feet may be displayed setting forth such occupation.
Public utility substations, booster stations, but not including power generation or gas manufacturing plants.
Railroad trackage, but not roundhouses and repair shops.
Schools.
Signs, not more than twenty (20) square feet in area, pertaining only to the lease or sale of a building or premises. (Ord. 8/53, 1-18-1954)
Every lot or tract of land upon which a single-family dwelling is to be constructed shall have an area of not less than five thousand (5,000) square feet and a minimum width of fifty feet (50'), except that a smaller lot officially on record at the time of the passage hereof, may be occupied by a single-family dwelling. 10-4-3: DWELLING SIZE:
One-story dwellings shall be constructed with not less than one thousand (1,000) square feet of floor area. Dwellings with two (2) or more stories shall be constructed with not less than one thousand eight hundred (1,800) square feet of floor area. (Ord. 8/53, 1-18-1954)
10-4-4: SIDE AND REAR YARDS:
Required side yard widths shall be a minimum of six feet (6') between the primary building and the side property line(s) and a minimum of six feet (6') between the primary building and the rear property line. Required side yards for corner lots on the corner side shall be a minimum of ten feet (10') between the primary building and corner side property line. Required side yard widths for all accessory structures, including, but not limited to, detached garages, sheds, gazebos and inground swimming pools and any portion thereof shall be a minimum of three feet (3') from the structure to the side property line and a minimum of three feet (3') from the structure to the rear property line.
