CHAPTER 7

B-2 COMMERCIAL DISTRICT

10-7-1: USES:

Buildings and premises may be used for the purposes listed in section 10-6-1 of this title and in addition for the following purposes:
   Amusement places.
   Bowling alleys.
   Dance halls.
   Package liquor stores.
   Pool halls.
   Recreation buildings or uses.
   Restaurants serving intoxicating liquors.
   Rollerskating rinks.
   Taverns.
   Retail furniture stripping business.
   No buildings and/or premises used for any of the purposes permitted under a B-2 commercial district shall be used in such a manner as to be substantially detrimental to property or to the health, safety, comfort or general welfare of the public, by reason of waste materials, explosives and/or fire hazards. 10-7-2: DWELLINGS:

Every lot or tract of land upon which a single- or multiple- family dwelling is to be constructed shall be subject to the restrictions of chapters 4 and 5 of this title. (Ord. 8/53, 1-18-1954)

10-7-3: EXTENT INDUSTRIAL OCCUPANCY:

Any building or premises used primarily for any of the above purposes may have not more than forty percent (40%) of the floor area devoted to industry or storage purposes incidental to such primary use and provided that not more than five (5) employees shall be engaged in such industry at any one time. 10-7-4: BUILDING AREA:

A commercial building to be constructed upon a lot or tract shall be restricted in size so as to occupy not more than fifty percent (50%) of the lot or tract area. No building shall be erected within five feet (5') of the rear lot line. Buildings may occupy the full width of the lot or tract excepting on corner lots where the building setback line is applicable. Adequate provisions shall be made for freight delivery off the right of way of public streets or alleys. (Ord. 8/53, 1-18-1954)
