For the purpose of this title, the village of Arena is hereby divided into the following 12 use districts:

Boundaries of these districts are hereby established as shown on maps entitled "Zoning Map, Village of Arena, Wisconsin," which accompany and are part of this title. Such boundaries shall be construed to follow corporate limits; U.S. Public Land Survey lines; lot or property lines; centerlines of streets, highways, alleys, easements, and railroad rights-of-way or such lines extended; unless otherwise noted on the zoning map.

Vacation of public streets and alleys shall cause the land vacated to be automatically placed in the same district as the abutting side to which the vacated land reverts.

Annexations to or consolidations with the village subsequent to the effective date of the ordinance codified in this title shall be placed in the R-2 district unless the annexation ordinance temporarily places the land in another district.
