VIEWSHED OVERLAY DISTRICT STANDARDS
The viewshed overlay district standards found here within shall apply to all uses of land constructed, reconstructed, or established after the effective date of this Code which are located within the viewshed overlay district as established by the Bessemer City Zoning Overlay Districts map.
1.
No principal or accessory structure shall be located within 100 feet from right-of-way upon which the lot fronts.
2.
No signage within 100 feet from the right-of-way upon which the lot fronts shall exceed six feet in height.
3.
On existing lots of record where the 100 foot minimum setback cannot be met, the administrator has the authority to make a determination.
4.
Fencing adjacent to the right-of-way shall be rural in nature. All fencing shall meet the requirements of chapter 3.
If there is a conflict between the requirements of this subsection and the standards required elsewhere within this Code, the stricter standard shall apply.
