LEGAL STATUS PROVISIONS
Whenever the regulations of this ordinance require a greater width or size of yards, or require a greater percentage of lot to be left unoccupied, or impose other more restrictive standards than are required in or under any other statutes, the requirements of this ordinance shall govern. Whenever the provisions of any other statute require more restrictive standards than are required by this ordinance, the provisions of such statute govern.
Should any section or provision of this ordinance be declared invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such declaration shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any part thereof which is not specifically declared to be invalid or unconstitutional.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed to the extent necessary to give this ordinance full force and effect; specifically Bloomingdale Zoning Ordinance adopted September 18, 1975, and all subsequent amendments thereto are hereby repealed.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the date of its adoption by the city council. Before enactments, the city council shall hold a public hearing thereon with at least 15 days' notice of the time and place published in a newspaper of general circulation in the municipality. No change in or departure from the text or maps as certified by the planning commission shall be made unless such change or departure be first submitted back to the planning commission for review and recommendation. If the planning commission fails to submit a report within a 30-day period, it shall be deemed to have approved the change or departure.
