ARTICLE II
Authority and Jurisdiction
§ 345-3 Community objectives.
In pursuance of the authority conferred by Act No. 567, Article XX, enacted July 10, 1947, as P.L. 1481 of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and amended pursuant to the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, Act No. 247 of 1968, as amended by Act 93 of 1972,[1] the following community objectives have been established:
A.
Improve the physical environment so that it is efficient, safe and aesthetically satisfying.
B.
Improve transportation facilities.
C.
Encourage effective local government leadership in decision making.
D.
Provide for efficient municipal service.
E.
Guide local citizen participation in decisionmaking.
F.
Develop a stronger tax base for local services and to sustain new growth.
G.
Provide attractive and adequate recreational facilities.
H.
Maintain and/or improve the quality of the existing inventory of housing.
I.
Coordinate all development in space, time and expenditures.
J.
Promote a rational and integrated pattern of land use relationships.
