ARTICLE 1

- TITLE

An Ordinance of the County of Cherokee, Georgia, regulating the location, height, number of stories and size of buildings and other structures; the density of population; the uses of land, building and structures for industry, commerce, agriculture conservation, recreation, residence, public activities, preservation of the tax base, and other purposes; creating districts for said purposes and establishing the boundaries thereof; providing for transition to new zoning classifications; defining certain terms used herein; providing for the method of administration; amendment and enforcement and for the imposition of penalties for violations providing for a Zoning Board of Appeals and defining its powers and duties; repealing conflicting resolutions; providing for other purposes; and other matters.

This Ordinance is adopted pursuant to the authority conferred by Article 9, Section 2, Paragraph IV, 1983 Constitution of the State of Georgia and laws enacted pursuant thereto.
