A detached accessory dwelling unit that is 800 square feet or less, not more than 16 feet in height, and compliant with a minimum four-foot side and rear setback, shall be considered consistent with all city development standards, irrespective of any other municipal code limitations governing lot coverage, floor area ratio, or open space. For any other detached accessory dwelling unit, lot coverage, floor area ratio, and open space requirements for the underlying zone shall apply.
