6-5-1: CONFORMANCE WITH REQUIREMENTS FOR MAIN BUILDINGS:
Where an accessory building is structurally attached to a main building, it shall be subject to, and must conform to, all regulations of this Title applicable to the main building. (see illustration 5.1) (Ord. 1973, 1-6-1997)
6-5-2: LOCATION:
An accessory building may not be located nearer to any interior lot line than that permitted for the main building, when any part of the accessory building is on line with the setback of the main building, if extended. (see illustration 5.2) However, when an accessory building is located in the rear yard, it may then be located within three feet (3') of the interior lot line, but not nearer than five feet (5') of the rear lot line. (see illustration 5.3) Tennis courts and swimming pools (not including pool decks) must be at least six feet (6') from the side and rear lot lines.

6-5-3: CONSTRUCTION RESTRICTIONS:
An accessory building shall not be erected prior to the establishment or construction of the main building to which it is accessory. (Ord. 1973, 1-6-1997)
6-5-4: LOCATION ON REVERSED CORNER LOT:
No accessory building shall be located on a reversed corner lot beyond the front yard required on the adjacent lot to the rear. (see illustration 5.4) (Ord. 1973, 1-6-1997)
6-5-5: SIZE OF ACCESSORY STRUCTURES:
The footprint for all accessory structures within the rear yard shall not exceed thirty percent (30%) of the rear yard of any zoning district. When no rear yard is required the size of the footprint of the accessory building shall be included in the lot coverage calculation for the main structure. The square footage of a guest house (see definition of "guest house" in Chapter 2) may be no greater than six hundred (600) square feet.
The following accessory structures shall comply with the additional standards and procedures set forth below:
(A) Satellite Dish Antennas:
1. A satellite dish antenna shall be treated as a permitted use in any zoning district, provided that:
(a) A satellite dish installed on the roof of a building, shall not be larger than six feet (6') in diameter, does not project more than two feet (2') above the highest point of the roof line, is the same or similar color of the roof, and the bottom of the dish is no more than eighteen inches (18") above the roof; or
(b) The satellite dish is installed on the ground, a pad, a tower, or any other structure besides a building, is located between the principal structure and the rear lot line, and does not exceed an overall diameter of twelve feet (12') or an overall height of fifteen inches (15").

6-5-6: RESTRICTIONS ON USE AS A DWELLING:
No accessory building shall be used for permanent occupancy by others as a separate housekeeping unit from the primary residents. Accessory structures may be occupied by servants of the family occupying the main structure or as guest quarters provided such facilities are used for the occasional housing of guests of the primary household and that no individual or group of guests occupies the unit for more than three (3) months of any calendar year.
