VILLAGE DISTRICT

§ 27-501 V Village District.

1. 
Intended Purpose. The Village District provides for moderate density housing and other compatible commercial uses that will enhance this area as an attractive living environment.
2. 
Principal Permitted Uses.
After-hours clubs
Amusement arcades
Animal husbandry, commercial (§ 27-1203, Subsection 5)
Art or craft studios
Banks
Bed-and-breakfast inns (§ 27-1204)
Billiard halls
Boardinghouse and rooming houses (§ 27-1234)
Bus shelters
Business offices
Business services
Conference centers
Conservation subdivision design, as permitted by Subpart 13A*
Crop production
Cultural centers
Domestic violence shelters
Exercise clubs
Forestry and forest reserves, fish and game refuges, and similar conservation uses
Funeral homes
Group homes (§ 27-1218)
Massage facilities, therapeutic
Meeting, assembly, or banquet halls
Nightclubs
No-impact home-based business (§ 27-1003)
Office buildings
Professional offices
Public and semipublic buildings and uses
Religious quarters
Retail businesses (§ 27-1211)
School, public or private primary or secondary schools
Service establishments
Short-term rental (§ 27-1014)
Single-family detached dwellings
Temporary construction buildings, which must be removed 30 days after the use ends

3. 
Accessory Uses. Customary accessory uses and buildings incidental to any of the uses allowed in the V District, including:
A. 
Animal husbandry, home use (§ 27-1203, Subsection 5).
B. 
Decks and porches.
C. 
Family day care homes (§ 27-1213).
D. 
Garages and carports.
E. 
Home occupations (§ 27-1004).
F. 
Off-street parking required by § 27-1005.
G. 
Raising of garden crops for domestic purposes, and the occasional or casual sale of products therefrom.
H. 
Signs permitted in the V District by Part 17.
I. 
Solar energy systems, accessory (§ 27-1007).
J. 
Storage buildings, greenhouses, swimming pools accessory to the principal use.
K. 
Wind energy systems, accessory (§ 27-1007).
L. 
Other customary uses and buildings, provided that such uses are clearly incidental to the principal use.
