- ZONING DISTRICTS
For the purpose of this ordinance, the Town of Kenbridge is hereby divided into districts as follows:
Residence or residential shall include R-20, R-10, R-6, R-5; commercial or business districts shall include B-1 and B-2; industrial districts shall include M-1 and M-2.

The boundaries of the respective districts designated in section 3-1 of this code are shown upon a map(s) entitled "Zoning District Map(s)," which is attached or appended to the original copy of the ordinance amending and reordaining this section, and is hereby adopted and made a part of this chapter. All notations, references and other information shown thereon shall have the same force and effect as though fully set forth and described in this chapter. The mayor of the town or town manager shall endorse thereon, with appropriate language, the district map(s) adopted and made a part of this chapter and shall file the map(s) in the office of the zoning administrator in the town hall.

The zoning administrator shall preserve the map(s) filed in his office by the mayor of the town or the town manager. The zoning administrator shall cause all extensions, contractions, or other changes made in the boundaries of the districts shown thereon to be indicated on the copies of the maps as soon as practicable after the effective dates of such ordinances making such extensions, contractions, or changes.

Whenever uncertainty exists with respect to the location of the boundary line of a district shown upon a district map, the boundary line, unless dimensioned on the map, shall be determined as follows:
(1)
The boundary line shall be the centerline of the street or alley, if there be one, nearest the periphery of the district; or
(2)
In case there is not [a] street or alley and the land is divided into lots or blocks, the boundary line shall be the property line of the lots or blocks nearest the periphery of the district; or
(3)
In case there is no such street or alley and the land is not divided into lots or blocks, the boundary line shall be a line determined by measurement of the distance shown on the district map according to the scale indicated thereon.
Whenever any street, alley, or other public way is vacated by official action, the zoning district adjoining each side of such street, alley or other public way shall be automatically extended to the centerline of such vacation.
