Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects, or refuses to comply with, or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this chapter, shall be fined not less than $5.00 nor more than $2,000.00 for each offense. Each day that a violation exists shall constitute a separate offense. This penalty should not be construed as exclusive, and the city is hereby provided that any other remedy available to it, in law or in equity, is not intended to be, and is not, foreclosed by the provision of such penalty.
