It is not intended by this chapter to repeal, abrogate, annul or in any way impair or interfere with existing provisions of other laws or ordinances, (except as the same may be specifically repealed by the terms of this chapter) or with private restrictions placed upon property by covenant, deed, easement or other private agreement. Where this chapter imposes a greater restriction upon land, buildings, or structures than is imposed or required by other laws, ordinances, deed, covenants or agreements, the provisions of this chapter shall govern.
