PUBLIC FACILITIES PF ZONE DISTRICT

§ 9-3.1601 Purpose and findings.

The purpose of the Public Facilities (PF) District is to identify community facilities of a public or quasi-public nature, protect public facilities from intrusion by other uses, and to set forth a review process that ensures such public facilities will be compatible with surrounding land uses.

§ 9-3.1602 Permitted uses.

The following uses shall be permitted in the Public Facilities District:
(a) 
Public schools;
(b) 
Storm drainage basins;
(c) 
Wastewater treatment facilities;
(d) 
Water wells and related treatment facilities;
(e) 
Pum/lift stations;
(f) 
Public libraries, museums;
(g) 
Public and/or municipal recreation facilities; and
(h) 
Building and facilities owned or operated by a governmental or quasi-public agency.

§ 9-3.1603 Uses permitted subject to securing a use permit.

The following uses shall be permitted in the Public Facilities District subject to securing a use permit:
(a) 
Churches, church schools, and other religious facilities including residential quarters incidental to a church use or other religious facility;
(b) 
Private recreation; and
(c) 
Day care centers.

§ 9-3.1604 Existing public facilities.

All public facility uses and structures, as identified above, that are existing as of the date of adoption of the ordinance codified in this title, are declared to be conforming uses and structures.

§ 9-3.1605 Development standards.

Any proposed development of use of land within the Public Facilities District shall be subject to the site plan review process. Through this review process, appropriate setbacks, lot coverage, building height and design, parking, signage and other development standards shall be determined in an effort to ensure compatibility with surrounding lands and uses.
