13.04 Open

Space Zone O-1.

13.04.010 Purpose And Intent

The Open Space Zone is specifically intended to encourage the preservation of a natural environment in an otherwise urban setting; to hold for future generations open space in which plants and animals can be protected and studied; to inhibit erection of buildings on a flood plain; near rivers, creeks and ponds; to provide suitable areas for recreation including hiking, biking, horseback riding and relaxation; to alleviate stream pollution; and flood control.

13.04.020 Permitted Uses

  1. Agriculture.
  2. Botanical or zoological garden.
  3. Conservation areas.
  4. Fishing ponds.
  5. Public park, public recreation grounds and associate buildings, but not including privately owned commercial amusement business.
  6. Trails, paths, and walkways suitable for non motorized traffic.
  7. Wildlife sanctuaries.

13.04.030 Conditional Uses

  1. Golf Course.
  2. Main and accessory buildings and uses customary incidental any permitted use.
  3. Public utility substations.

13.04.040 Sign Regulations

The height, size, and location of all signs shall be in accordance with the regulations set
forth in this Zoning Ordinance.
