A. Purpose: The general manufacturing district is established to provide areas in which manufacturing and related commercial operations are the principal use of land. Such uses have some adverse effects on surrounding properties and are not compatible with residential, institutional and retail uses.
1. Minimum lot size: Ten thousand (10,000) square feet.
2. Minimum lot width: None.
a. Front: Twenty five feet (25').
b. Rear: Twenty feet (20').
c. Side: Fifteen feet (15').
4. Building height: Thirty five feet (35') or two (2) stories, whichever is less.
C. Parking: One parking space (200 square feet) for each employee on the maximum working shift, plus one for each vehicle used in the conduct of the enterprise.
Uses permitted in all other districts, provided they comply with regulations set forth in their respective districts, except residential dwelling units including mobile home parks.
Industry, nonretail commercial, laboratory, offices.
Slaughterhouses, fertilizer works, plants for the processing of animal skins or hides and plants for the reduction of animal matter.
1. Processing and storage may take place within buildings, or outdoors if screened properly from public view.
2. Screening shall be provided at lot boundaries abutting a residential zoning district and shall consist of solid fencing or dense hedge or shrub to a minimum of six feet (6') in height.
3. The following uses are prohibited: Crematories, fireworks or explosive manufacture or storage, and dumping. (Ord., 8-24-1974)
