The purpose of the A-1 agricultural district is to devote and preserve land as agricultural, including all related activities. This district shall hold land as less intensive development until the time in which it can carry more intensive development through the planned staging of utility extensions and other such options necessary to withstand such development. 10-6-2: PERMITTED USES:
Accessory uses incidental to the permitted uses.
Agricultural uses including:
Commercial breeding, raising, or training of animals; provided, that no building, pens, or yards are within one hundred feet (100') of a public street or thoroughfare or residential district.
Farming, dairying, pasturage, apiculture, horticulture, floriculture, viticulture, and animal and poultry husbandry.
Growing of trees, flowers, fruits, vegetables, grains, and other crops.
Research and/or experimental farming.
Sale of agricultural products produced on the premises.
Cemeteries of more than twenty (20) acres in area.
Animal farms engaged in the raising of exotic animals.
Children’s nurseries, daycare centers, prekindergarten, and other private schools, provided one hundred (100) square feet of open space is maintained for each child enrolled.
Golf courses.
Mining, quarry, and gravel operations.
Off-road recreational riding park.
Places of worship, schools, libraries, museums, art galleries, and community centers.
A. Accessory uses shall only be located and operated in side and rear yards.
B. Accessory uses shall be operated and maintained under the same ownership and on the same lot, or adjoining lots, as the principal use or structure.
C. No accessory building shall exceed fifteen feet (15') in height, shall not occupy more than ten percent (10%) of the rear and side yard areas, and shall not be closer than twenty feet (20') to any lot line. (Ord. 2004-26, 9-22-2004, eff. 9-22-2004)

A. Maximum Building Height: No building shall exceed two and one- half (21/2) stories or thirty five feet (35') in height.
B. Minimum Lot Size: Ten (10) acres.
C. Minimum Lot Width: Four hundred feet (400').
D. Minimum Floor Area: One thousand feet (1,000').
E. Maximum Impervious Coverage: Ten percent (10%) for all lots.
F. Minimum Setbacks:
1. Minimum front yard setback: Seventy five feet (75').
2. Minimum side yard setback: Forty feet (40').
3. Minimum rear yard setback: Seventy five feet (75').
4. Minimum corner lot setback: Seventy five feet (75') from all public streets and thoroughfares. (Ord. 2004-26, 9-22-2004, eff. 9-22-2004)
10-6-6: PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
A. Off Street Parking And Loading: There shall be provided in the agricultural district adequate off street parking and loading in accordance with the provisions in chapter 14 of this title.
