§ 157.400 PURPOSE AND INTENT.

   (A)   The Government Managed Lands (GML) District is established as a special district to protect the substantial public interest of real property owned and used by any governmental entity including local, state or federal government units.
   (B)   This district is not intended to be applied to land that is used by governmental entities on an easement or leased basis if title to the land is in private ownership.
   (C)   It is intended that the district be utilized for mapping purposes and to be in accord with and promote the purposes set forth in the comprehensive plan.

§ 157.401 PERMITTED PRINCIPAL USES.

   The following are permitted principal uses:
   (A)   Government administrative, public safety and judicial buildings;
   (B)   Public schools and libraries;
   (C)   Government maintenance facilities;
   (D)   Public utility buildings and facilities;
   (E)   Public parks, playgrounds and outdoor recreation; and
   (F)   Other public facilities of a like nature.

§ 157.402 ACCESSORY USES.

   The following are accessory uses:
   (A)   Uses and structures which are on the same lot and of a nature customarily incidental and subordinate to the principal governmental use or structure; and
   (B)   Uses and structures which are in keeping with the character of the district.

§ 157.403 PROHIBITED USES.

   Any use of structure not specifically or by reasonable implication permitted herein is prohibited,

§ 157.405 SPECIAL CONTROLS.

   Because of the unique nature of this District, special controls pertaining to landscaping, transportation services, off-street parking and the like, may be necessitated to promote a stable, healthy and safe environment.
