Office District
The purpose of the office district is to provide areas of adequate size and appropriate locational characteristics for the development and operation of professional and administrative offices and certain complementary uses. It is further intended that this district serve as a buffer or transition between residential districts and commercial districts. [Ord. 3354 § 2, 1999; Code 1970 § 25.41.010.]
The following uses shall be permitted in the office district:
(1) Administrative and professional offices, such as lawyers, engineers, real estate, accountants and insurance offices;
(2) Medical and dental offices;
(3) Museums and art galleries;
(4) Governmental offices, excluding police and fire stations;
(5) Funeral homes; and
(6) Food truck parks as defined in PMC 25.15.080 and pursuant to PMC 25.165.215. [Ord. 4722 § 16, 2024; Ord. 3354 § 2, 1999; Code 1970 § 25.41.020.]
(1) Incidental sales and services, such as food service, pharmacies and retail sales to serve occupants and patrons of an established principal use, provided the accessory use is conducted within the principal building.
(2) Accessory uses and accessory buildings, including storage buildings, excluding container storage, as defined in PMC 25.15.210, are permitted in the office district as defined under PMC 25.15.020 and 25.15.040. [Ord. 3735 § 1, 2005; Ord. 3354 § 2, 1999; Code 1970 § 25.41.030.]
The following uses are permitted subject to the approval of special permit as provided in Chapter 25.80 PMC:
(1) Police and fire stations;
(2) Churches and similar places of worship;
(3) Day care centers and preschool centers;
(4) Dwelling units, provided the units are within the principal building, are all above the ground floor of said building, and the ground floor of said building is designed or intended to be used for a principally permitted use; and

(1) Minimum lot area: Not required, except for nonconforming residential uses, which must retain a minimum of 5,000 square feet for single-family and 3,000 square feet for each additional unit;
(2) Lot coverage: Dictated by parking requirements, setbacks and landscaping;
(3) Minimum Yard Setbacks.
(a) Front: 15 feet, except where adjoining a residential district, in which case there shall be provided a setback equal in width or depth to that required in the residential district;
(b) Side: Five feet, except where adjoining a residential district, in which case there shall be provided a setback equal in width or depth to that required in the residential district;
(c) Rear: None required, except where adjoining a residential district, in which case there shall be provided a setback equal in width or depth to that required in the residential district;
(4) Maximum building height: 35 feet, except a greater height may be approved by special permit;
(5) Fences and hedges: See Chapter 25.180 PMC;
(6) Parking: See Chapter 25.185 PMC; and
