ARTICLE V

- INTERPRETATION OF TERMS

For purposes of this ordinance, all words used in the present tense include the future tense. All words in the plural number include the singular number, and all words in the singular number include the plural number. The word "building" includes the term "structure" (all buildings are structures but not all structures are buildings). The word "person" includes a firm, company, partnership, association, public or private authority, or corporation. The word "shall" is mandatory and the word "may" is permissive. The word "used" shall be considered to also include "designated, arranged or intended to be used." The term "planning commission" refers to the Peachtree City Planning Commission. The term "city council" refers to the Peachtree City City Council. The term "zoning administrator" refers to the person who has been designated by the city council to administer the enforcement of the ordinance. The requirements contained in this ordinance are declared to be the minimum requirements necessary to carry out the purpose of this ordinance.
