CHAPTER 18
24 C-N NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL ZONE
§ 18.24.010 Establishment.
There is hereby established a zone which shall hereinafter be known as the "C-N neighborhood commercial zone," and which shall function and serve as set out in this chapter.

§ 18.24.020 Intent and purpose.
The intent and purpose of the C-N zone is to designate certain areas within residential neighborhoods of the city for limited and restrictive commercial uses that could provide convenience goods and services catering to a limited marketing and trading area.

§ 18.24.030 Applicability-Criteria.
A.
The C-N zone is a land use classification which, in part, assists in the implementation of the commercial land use element of the general plan. It is a zone classification designed to be applied in areas of the community that will provide only those uses, stores and services most appropriate and compatible with the residential area and pattern of development of which the C-N zone is intended to serve.
B.
Application of the C-N zone must be clearly defined, limited and restricted to only those uses of land that will not conflict with the residential neighborhood environment of the area in which they are located, and must be protected from the encroachment of land uses and development that do not perform a convenience neighborhood commercial function and purpose.
C.
Uses of land which do not qualify and which are not specifically permitted in the C-N Zone are hereby expressly prohibited.
