CHAPTER 3

ZONING CLASSIFICATIONS AND MAPS

11-3-1: OFFICIAL ZONING DISTRICT MAP:

   A.   The city is divided into zones, as shown on the official zoning district map, originally titled official plan of zoning 1984 edition, also identified as page 4 and page 5 city of St. Maries zoning-building ordinance titled map of St. Maries and vicinity Benewah County, Idaho, which, together with all explanatory matter thereon and subsequent amendments, is adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this title.
   B.   If, in accordance with the provisions of this title, changes are made in zone boundaries or other matter portrayed on the official zoning district map, such changes shall be entered on the official zoning district map promptly after the amendment has been approved by the council.
   C.   In the event that the official zoning district map becomes damaged, destroyed, lost or difficult to interpret because of the nature or number of changes and additions, the council may by resolution adopt a new official zoning district map which shall supersede the prior official zoning district map. The new official zoning district map may correct drafting or other errors or omissions in the prior official zoning district map, but no such corrections shall have the effect of amending the original official zoning district map or any subsequent amendment thereof. The new official zoning district map shall contain the following statement: "This is to verify that this Official Zoning District Map supersedes and replaces the Official Zoning District Map adopted (date of adoption of map being replaced)."
   D.   Unless the prior official zoning district map has been lost, or has been totally destroyed, the prior map or any significant parts thereof remaining, shall be preserved, together with all available records pertaining to its adoption or amendment. (Ord. 2013-688, 12-16-2013)

11-3-2: BOUNDARIES:

   A.   The boundaries of the zones, except where otherwise referenced, are intended to follow the lines of lots, centerlines of streets and alleys and/or natural boundaries such as dikes and streams. (Ord. 2011-677, 6-13-2011)
